LEGISLATIVE UPDATES EXAMINED AT PENNSYLVANIA GAMING CONGRESS & MID-ATLANTIC RACING FORUM IN PHILADELPHIA


PHILADELPHIA, PA (March 16, 2011) – The future of gaming in Pennsylvania will be discussed at the 7th annual Pennsylvania Gaming Congress & Mid-Atlantic Racing Forum, which takes place March 21-22 at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel.

 

Over the course of two one-hour panels, state representatives, legislators, members of the Gaming Control Board, and other industry experts will provide their insight into the future gaming in Pennsylvania, including the possibility of additional licenses, video poker, new technology, future revenue growth and proceeds, the response to neighboring competition, and future legislation.

Hundreds of casino operators, slot manufacturers, regulators, attorneys and other gaming-related professionals will attend the Pennsylvania Gaming Congress & Mid-Atlantic Racing Forum in downtown Philadelphia. The two-day event begins March 21 with the Mid-Atlantic Racing Forum, kicked off by a keynote presentation from Michael Tanner, Executive Vice President/Chief Executive Officer of the United States Trotting Association (USTA), and finishing with the evening conference cocktail reception on the 33rd floor Terrace of the Loews Hotel with breathtaking views of downtown Philadelphia. The following day is the Gaming Congress which includes intensive panel discussion as well as the Welcome Keynote Address, given by Alan Greenberger, Executive Director for the Philadelphia City Planning Commission, and the Luncheon Keynote Address, given by Patrick Murphy, Partner, Fox Rothschild LLP.

 

The event has again been approved for 5.75 Continuing Legal Education Credits (“CLE”) in Pennsylvania, and new this year, it’s also been approved for 7.0 CLE credits in New Jersey, making it a must-attend event for gaming-law professionals.
