IMGL to hold Masterclass at Summer Meeting of State Gaming Legislators, July 29-31 in Boston

BOSTON, MA (July 8, 2016) – A special feature has been added to July 29-31 Summer Meeting of the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS): a Masterclass by the International Masters of Gaming Law.

“IMGL Masterclasses stand for high level discussions and interchange among experts and strive to present only the best quality speakers and moderators and the most up-to-date and relevant content in the IMGL Masterclass panels,” IMGL President Mike Zatezalo said.

The IMGL Masterclass begins 10:15 a.m. on the final day of the NCLGS Summer Meeting, which takes place at the Boston Marriott Newton. The NCLGS Summer Meeting, including the IMGL Masterclass, is open to the public and registration and event information are available at https://www.nclgs.org/meetings.html.
The Masterclass will address the role of the regulator in today’s environment. Since the role of the regulator is seldom clearly defined by statute, the panel will discuss the ways in which industry can work with regulators and lawmakers to find a sweet spot that allows for increased revenues while protecting state interests. Panelists include regulators and gaming attorneys from Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio.

IMGL introduced the first IMGL Masterclass in 2014 at ICE Totally Gaming in London and the concept has quickly grown. In 2015 alone, the IMGL held seven IMGL Masterclasses at different major events around the world.

As IMGL Masterclasses provide guidance regarding evolving issues in the gaming industry of interest to legislators and regulators among others in the industry, they are a perfect fit for the NCLGS Meetings.

In addition to legislators, other confirmed speakers for the NCLGS Summer Meeting include regulators, casino operators, lottery and pari-mutuel experts, and suppliers.
Sponsorship opportunities, as well as scholarship opportunities for legislators, are still available. Contact Gail Pagano at gpagano@spectrumgaming.com or 609-926-5100 for details. The NCLGS Summer and Winter meetings are organized and produced by Spectrum Gaming Group.
