Registration Open for July 29-31 National Council of Legislators From Gaming States Summer Meeting in Boston

BOSTON, MA - Public registration is now open for the July 29-31 Summer Meeting of the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS), which takes place at the Boston Marriott Newton. Register for this important event byclicking here.

In addition to legislators, confirmed speakers include regulators, attorneys, casino operators, lottery and pari-mutuel experts, and suppliers. Click here for the full program.

"NCLGS takes pride in providing a timely, relevant program filled with speakers who can provide a complete understanding of the critical policy issues confronting this industry. Our Summer Meeting in July has one of the strongest agendas in the history of this organization," said Rep. Helene Keeley of Delaware, President of NCLGS.

The Summer Meeting begins July 29 with topical committee meetings and sessions that cover problem gambling, casino saturation, the future of lotteries, Indian gaming, and Internet gaming, among other subjects. Roundtable Discussions will focus on daily fantasy sports and sports wagering, gaming taxation, and gaming policy. Attendees will also be able to participate in a site visit to Plainridge Park, the only casino currently operating in Massachusetts.

Timothy J. Wilmott, President and CEO of Penn National Gaming, will deliver the conference keynote address.

Make your reservations by July 5 at the host Boston Marriott Newton by clicking here to enjoy the special NCLGS rate of $149 per night, or call 800-228-9290.

The hotel is near the beautiful campus of Lasell College, across the Charles River from Boston. The school is hosting a Lobster Bake for all Summer Meeting attendees and will provide information on its gaming studies program.

Sponsorship opportunities, as well as scholarship opportunities for legislators, are still available. Contact Melissa Triplett at [email protected] or 609-926-5100 for details. The NCLGS Summer and Winter meetings are organized and produced by Spectrum Gaming Group.

NCLGS is a non-partisan organization of state lawmakers that meets on a regular basis to discuss issues in regard to gaming. NCLGS does not support or oppose gaming, but supports effective regulation and sound state policies, and is a source of nonpartisan data on issues of gaming legislation and regulation. The NCLGS Foundation, the educational and research arm of NCLGS, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
